| About Jen
and This Project |
| |
| Hi, my name is Jen and I'm 26. I'm finishing up my degree at Lesley University this summer. I am originally from St. Louis and really enjoy the East coast but I
do not care for the snow! |

I would have never taken "Art that came out of the Holocaust" a class offered by Barbara Vacarr, had my roommate not mentioned it to me. Thanks
Leigh.
For the duration of this course, I learned more than I could have imagined about the Holocaust. The first part of the class was held in Washington DC and involved wondering through the Holocaust museum and discovering the history of World War II. The museum was incredible. I could have spent a week there and still discovered new things daily. I started doing work in unrelated classes on the Holocaust and the victims who were involved. |

I
saw Elie Wiesel speak at Boston University and at the end of his words of
wisdom, I snuck up to the front, shouted his name and when he turned around, all I could say was thanks, as he shook my hand.
I feel as though I have been blessed with a talent to talk with others about their experiences in life and have learned a great deal from doing interviews with people such as Netty
Vanderpol, who is a Holocaust survivor and now needle point exhibiting artist.
This last semester at Lesley University has been eye opening and quite an adventure. Thank you so much, to all of you that have been involved with my Thesis. Please feel free to contact me with any comments, question or stories. Always remember and be kind to
others.
Special thank
you to Netty Vanderpol for her strength and good will and Barbara for all her good teachings..

Sincerely,
Jen
